Role Overview:
As a Cloud Architect, you will design and implement cloud solutions that support the strategic objectives of our client’s data centre business. You’ll collaborate closely with clients and internal teams to architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud environments. Your expertise will drive the transition to cloud-first strategies, optimize cloud performance, and ensure that cloud infrastructures are aligned with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet client needs, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Lead the migration of on-premises systems to cloud environments, ensuring minimal disruption to clients’ operations.
• Work with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud architecture solutions.
• Architect and deploy multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for a wide variety of use cases.
• Provide technical leadership in cloud infrastructure design, governance, and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of cloud systems with on-premise and hybrid environments.
• Design cloud network architectures and help implement cloud security strategies.
• Conduct regular reviews of cloud solutions to ensure compliance with security standards, cost optimization, and performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and industry best practices to continuously enhance cloud offerings.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and architects.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar cloud-focused role, ideally within a Data Centre or managed services environment.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with cloud architecture design, migration, and management.
• Expertise in designing multi-cloud and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
• Solid understanding of networking, storage, and compute resources in cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deliver innovative solutions under tight deadlines.
• Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, etc.) are highly desirable.
